The SOPRATHERM Warm Roof system combines the SOPRASUN PLUS two-layer APP cap sheet and base sheet with a rigid PIR or SOPRAROCK mineral wool insulation board and a project-specific vapour barrier. This warm-roof build-up creates a continuous thermal layer above the structural deck, controlling condensation and improving energy performance across all New Zealand climate zones.
SOPRASUN PLUS provides a robust and economical waterproofing solution for warm-roof applications. Its reinforced APP bitumen compound offers dimensional stability, good UV resistance, and reliable long-term durability. The slate-chip finish provides additional UV protection and a consistent aesthetic. The membrane’s higher softening point makes installation more forgiving in warmer conditions.
Every SOPRATHERM specification includes a project-specific Condensation Risk Analysis (CRA) and Wind Uplift Report prepared to NZS1170.2. The system complies with the New Zealand Building Code, is CodeMark Certified, and holds a current BRANZ Appraisal. When installed by certified applicators, the system is supported by a 20-year Equus material warranty.
