The Equus SOPREMA DuO Two Layer Roofing System is a two-layer torch applied membrane designed for use on exposed architectural flat roofs, podium decks, balconies, and terraces. It offers a superior waterproofing system that is both UV resistant and flexible. The DuO two-layer membrane system can also be applied over a rigid thermal PIR insulation board and vapour barrier to create a Duotherm Warm Roof System. The warm roof is a light-weight, thermal roofing system that guarantees a continuous and efficient thermal resistance (R-value) as per the New Zealand Building Code
DuO two-layer membrane can also be used as a waterproofing material for balconies and decks. In this case, the DuO membrane is overlaid with raised flooring systems such as pedestals and pavers, and pedestals with wooden or aluminium decks. DuO two-layer membrane can also be used on green courtyards and planter boxes with the DuO Landscape membrane. The cap sheet is specifically designed for green areas with a root resistant additive, and a loose laid drainage mat to ensure free water drainage.
The system has been assessed and complies with the New Zealand Building Code, and holds a current BRANZ appraisal.
