The Equus SOPREMA Flagon TPO Green Roof System is a single-layer, adhesive applied, membrane designed for use on green roofs, roof gardens, planter boxes and courtyards. It offers a superior, durable and root resistant waterproofing system.
The Flagon TPO membrane is a synthetic waterproofing membrane manufactured in TPO modified polyolefin, reinforced by a polyester mesh. The upper layer features a high resistance to weather and UV rays, and the under layer provides high puncture resistance. The membrane requires no open flame during application as it is installed by a strong adhesive, and the laps are welded using heat vulcanising technology.
The green roof system also includes a root resistant protection layer welded over the top of the Flagon TPO membrane and a loose-laid drainage mat. These layers add protection to the membrane and ensure free water drainage extending the life of the system. The roofing system is suitable for both new builds, and roof refurbishments.
Flagon TPO waterproofing is BRANZ appraised, BBA certified, FM and EN approved, and is manufactured according to the principles of sustainable construction.
The components used for each system are specifically selected based on the requirements of the project, including substrate, weather conditions, and use of the area.
This system can be used on plywood and concrete substrates to form a standard cold roof system, or alternatively as a Warm Roof system that includes a Thermal PIR Insulation board and vapour barrier for guaranteed condensation control and an R value of R3.5.
