40 Year Anniversary

Equus Industries’ doors were first opened in Riverlands Estate, Blenheim November 1982 by founding Directors Brian Greenall, Rien Wagenvoort. We commenced business as a manufacturer of specialist coatings systems for commercial buildings, with some of the first products being Chevaline Dexx, and Chevaline Epistixx! In addition to supplying the New Zealand market, we also began exporting specialist lines from late 1983 to Australia, the South Pacific and South East Asia.

While the production facility and laboratory remain at our original site in Blenheim, we expanded throughout the country with our branches establishing in Auckland in 1986, Christchurch in 1991, and Wellington in 1995.

In 2006 Brian and Rien were joined by Directors Rob Roxburgh, and Nikki Brown, both of whom bought years of experience and expertise to the company directorate.

While specialist coatings remain the thrust of the operation at our factory, it has long been our goal to provide a full range of coatings and waterproofing systems for all levels of construction. With this in mind, the addition of high-quality products over the years from multiple manufacturers around the world has expanded our range of products to include solutions for the entire building envelope.

Today, as we celebrate our 40^th anniversary, Equus Industries is proud to offer technical waterproofing solutions for Architects, Engineers, Property Managers and Contractors in the building industry, with a strong focus on the design process. As a company, we provide project specific solutions, professional customer support, quality assurance and extended warranties. The technical knowledge of our people is something we pride ourselves on and will continue to strive for long into the future.
