Technical Consultant
Marcus joined Equus in September 2019, and he has come into the business with an extensive knowledge of the paint industry where he have more than 30 years’ experience.
Before joining the Equus team, Marcus was a Sales Representative for a well-known brand in New Zealand, and prior to that was working for Europe’s second largest paint manufacturer, running a trade centre in the UK.
The position here at Equus gives some challenging but rewarding opportunities to be involved with some of New Zealand’s exciting construction.
‘My role is to assist the business with everyday enquiries, maintain and build relationships with current and new applicators, including site visits. I strive to develop my own knowledge so I can be more involved with the architectural side of our industry.’
Marcus and his partner emigrated to New Zealand in 2003, after travelling around the world for six months. Since living here, they have raised a daughter, given home to various lots from the SPCA – including cats, dogs, chickens and even Alpacas. Marcus is also an active member of the Canterbury Mustang car owners club, enjoys mountain biking on the local trails and jet skiing at the Waimakariri river mouth. Marcus and his partner also have a passion for travel including cruising, with 8 so far and another booked for next year!
